What advantages does this have?

I get that everyone is excited and wants to move fast, but I think that rushing Nostr development is leaving us with a bunch of poor security and privacy tradeoffs that will ultimately leave us all worse off.
Same thing with zaps.
For real and it's painful to see.
I'm fine with being a wet blanket on nostr when it comes to this stuff. I'm in bitcoin for self-sovereignty reasons so I'll continue to be annoying about custody and privacy.
Feel free to suggest improvements. Umbrel plugins to connect here are coming. It can be as private as people want. There is also a way to use a new key just for payments, so if the identity key leaks, funds are still safe.

Do you think it depends on how its implemented on the node side. For example only paying invoices less then x amount, or not paying more then y per day. If the node is just blindly paying invoices from a priv key that is definitely bad. But think I could it being worth the trade off if the node is doing some checking?
I think (and could be wrong) Nostros handles this differently but still allows you to link your wallet and use from within the app.
