I get that everyone is excited and wants to move fast, but I think that rushing Nostr development is leaving us with a bunch of poor security and privacy tradeoffs that will ultimately leave us all worse off.

For real and it's painful to see.
I'm fine with being a wet blanket on nostr when it comes to this stuff. I'm in bitcoin for self-sovereignty reasons so I'll continue to be annoying about custody and privacy.
Feel free to suggest improvements. Umbrel plugins to connect here are coming. It can be as private as people want. There is also a way to use a new key just for payments, so if the identity key leaks, funds are still safe.
