Down the road, when you are highly insulin sensitive, some natural sugars (fructose, honey, maple syrup, maple sugar, beet rock sugar, sweet rice wine) have their place.

I don't eat any produce made into sugar either.

Etc...

It's a fine default. Stick with fruit if that's working for you. The less processing (even by hand) the better, generally speaking.
