Damus

Oh I misread this 🤣

Not just for reading, but for writing.

I had totally misread your note the first time. I saw long term. Longest i write are the movie reviews on Damus. I do like freerse and Yakihonne’s longform features.

Looks like it’s still whitelisted?

It is, but I will ask nicely that Bullish will please add you 🙏🏻 because I know you will test it

You’re already in ser. 🤙

I forgot… 💀

Heads up. I just converted to using the nostr-login component (to hopefully support the Android nostriches) so login flow is a little buggy. It works pretty well on desktop at the moment. 🤙

🔥

🤣

I saw your DM and replied btw. Can’t be too sure with #Nostr

Yakihonne

A good one, but what if I don’t want any kind1 content?

All I know is habla.news is not great anymore 🥹

I just went to check it out and it didn’t load anything for me.

Yeh, same.

When I login, I can see a couple of my articles under my profile, but that's it 🥹

It's hot garbage right now, someday I'll have time to fix the bugs and improve it

It was my goto for a long time 🫡

I think Habla is my favorite, only tried Habla and Yakihonne though

It's being actively developed and expanded by nostr:npub1636uujeewag8zv8593lcvdrwlymgqre6uax4anuq3y5qehqey05sl8qpl4 . She's building a Forest Newsroom 🌲 for us, which we're hyped about. Will be fast, running on our own servers and relays.

I write a lot, so I really care about longform notes.

It's going to replace https://gitcitadel.com, as a sort of content management system (CMS) based upon kind 30040 indexes. It's notes, in a website who's architecture is determined by other notes. 🤩

Interesting…this one is just a reader, it’s not for publishing it seems.

It will be getting publishing, but it's primarily a CMS / online magazine. Those are real webpages.

It's a way to use longform notes to create a website, but it also has the typical author feeds.

Sort of like Wordpress, but cooler.

That shouldn’t be a difficult feat to accomplish!

i like this domain, decent 😁

I'm already testing it. 😎

my python file 😅

I like untype.app for writing. It's got some wonky unfinished stuff, since nostr:nprofile1qqsph3c2q9yt8uckmgelu0yf7glruudvfluesqn7cuftjpwdynm2gygpp4mhxue69uhhjctzw5hx6egpz9mhxue69uhhytntda4xjunp9e5k7qgjwaehxw309amk7apww468smewdahx2thapxc just kind of vibed it into existence on whim... but it always works, which has been my biggest battle with all the others I've tried.

can't someone take the code and fix it?

Probably. Not me, though. I am still proudly holding up the blue ribbon I got from changing a name 😅 ...maybe someday.

the source code does not seem to be available

I'm sure he'd make it available if someone was interested in improving it.

What are the issues you’re finding? Maybe I can find time to fix them up.

Ah, that would be amazing! Its really minor stuff compared to most of the other writing clients:

The text box sometimes holds what appears to be a blank copy of the previous publication so its really easy to overwrite your own work by accident.

The eventIDs aren't easily searchable, I'm guessing because they don't have a prefix, but maybe it's a format thing(?). That's getting to the barriers of my understanding.

The sign in button on the bottom of the screen is the only one that works. The predominant one is a decoy lol

The cursor automatically moves your place to the bottom of the text box when you click some random spot in the text, like to fix a typo pre-publish, which is jarring & confusing.

It has still become my go-to though

Thanks! I’ll see if I can fix them.

do we have to sign a contract?

I think the source should be available so I could at least look at it before committing to doing anything

it's a shame he doesn't seem to care

I don't know.. I'm betting it's just a matter of time & priority. Everybody is busy. And how many people are using it? I could be the only one for all I know. Lol

On that note, always click "new" no matter how blank the text box may appear upon a 2nd visit.

The one that works when I need jt
