Those are definitely some of the advantages. Overall it is an interface that allows you to manage your nostr media separate from nostr.

Btw, we do optimize the media after you upload it, so you can potentially skip that step. YMMV depending on your processing needs 🫡
By optimise, I mostly mean cropping, but I do also reduce image quality when I’m on my desktop.
If I’m out and about I’ll let a client like Damus handle the upload and then move it when I’m back at my desktop.
Also, one thing that most of the hosts don’t do and we DO and require, is we strip all private metadata from the images, GPS coordinates, names, etc.
