Alby does several things.
First, it’s a browser extension to sign events on desktop clients so you never have to paste your private key into a website and potentially compromise it.
Second, it contains a Lightning wallet address. You should put that into your user profile so you can transact with other users, known as #zaps.
It also has a lot of other features you can explore.

yes, it's super-fast, feels almost instant. I don't know why exchanges are charging us for, gas-fee, network-fee etc. ?

Mainly because they can. Some are starting to introduce Lightning, but they don’t love it because the extremely low fees make harder for them to profit from and it’s easier for customers to withdraw. Obviously, that doesn’t work to their advantage.
makes sense, exchanges meant to be decentralized are deep-corporate-shit now !!! Hope lightning doesn't go that way : )

Hi Bumi, let me ask you: Is it possible that someone install Alby extension and can be used immediately to login in nostr clients, even without first have to make a alby wallet or connect a wallet? If not, I think should.
Thanks, I'll try to figure this out before asking stupid questions. There are so many keys, passcodes and passphrases to backup first.
I agree, it's confusing with a lot of keys. Maybe Alby should use Nostr relays to storage the keys, so users don't need to save a lot of keys.
yes maybe, but in hindsight I think giving keys to users is more empowering :)

Am I going in the centralized direction again?? What if Alby shares my private key ?? Also, if not Alby then how to switch clients between devices... tooo much stuff to figure out first
Keep only an amount of sats you'd be okay with losing on a hot wallet. Phone internet etc.
Move to a cold HW wallet for bigger stacks. Cold card or jade.
Consider more durable configurations for generational wealth. Multi sig HW wallets.
