Steamdeck for the win
Nintendo is such overpriced junk, overrated junk. Ever since the Wii came out I started to notice their under preforming hardware.
Don't buy your kids this junk. Stick to PC games.
One thing I like about console gaming is that I like the games happening in the family room on a tv. More social, more open, more chances to interact while they game and I do chores.
You are definitely right about that. Consoles are pretty much plug and play and easy to use.
PC gaming is more complicated. I've never seen anyone hook up 4 controllers to their PC and game in the living room with friends.
Consoles are more for kids and family type settings. That's probably why Nintendo always has underpowered hardware because a parent and their children don't really care about graphics.

This is why I modded my switch and pirate their games. Feels morally correct and gives me so much satisfaction.
Another reason not to buy it.
