Pubky (the app) has copied quite some things from the Twitter-Influencer UI playbook too, that said.
Dont mistake graph stats and views for influencer larping.
Everything in the app is designed to connect people with other people and URLs.
I get and appreciate that.
It's the focus on publicly connecting **individual** people (Follows typically) that tends to force the influencer behavior on profiles.
You seem to be trying to get profiles out of the box of "the one influencer thing they're known for" with topical tagging. That's a great step forward from the Twitter (and Primal) UX. I'm also going that route.
I think interop Communities are more promising tho. "Follow" isn't a thing in the apps we're building.
Follow is just a proxy for a data subscription and connection in our graph
Both approaches (traditional social media and invite-only communities) have their place. In nostr you can implement both. Pubky you can't even try it out.
