I've gotten chosen & tried to participate many times but I always get voted off the island before the trial starts. 😅
I was an alternate years ago. Domestic case. Interesting for sure. We’ll see if i can get past the gate.
I found, having been called repeatedly, that the lawyers don't like it when you ask for clarification about specific laws during selection. I have done it three times and have yet to be assigned to a jury.

Ask about jury nullification and see if you get picked!
Get on the Jury then exercise your free will as the person more powerful than the rest of the legal system combined. Seek justice, defend the weak, and punish wrongdoing from either side.
Invalidate some laws while you are there 👍
