I think its good that Maduro is gone. I dont think that bombing the people of Venezuela and kidnapping the leader of a sovereign nation is the right thing to do.

But if you believe that the warmongering regime change psycho Machado had any chance at leading the country, you‘ve been sold a total fucking lie - especially after the last Western installed presidential disaster that was Juan Guaido, who looted the country for Billions and made no improvements for his own people.

Sad to see that there are so many people in this space who think that black bagging people in other countries, trying them under bogus charges, and letting a corporate demon seize power in their place without legitimate elections is somehow aligned with „democracy“.

Nostr can't be a place where everyone forever agrees with us on every point.

I doubt life can be much worse for them than what it was over the past ten years. I want them to be what they once were, but people conveniently forget they voted for socialism and it became what it always does. You can't just fix a socialist hell scape in ten minutes. And frankly we probably never will since south American culture largely always turns back to it.

I think its good to disagree fwiw.

I also think that if people want to have state-run socialism, let them have state-run socialism - its not my problem.

It is however a problem for oil companies, which has without exception been the main issue for westerners around the globe. And i dont think its ok to intervene in other countries on behalf of wall street et al.

I strongly agree that the black bagging on foreign soil isn't a great look (among many other things related to this situation) but it's not true that Venezuela didn't have a legitimate election. They did. Edmundo González is the president elect.

Impossible to know as there was no international/non-partisan electoral watch allowed.

I think its fair if the people of venezuela want to elect the regime change demon - but they need to get the chance actually free elections first, that are not controlled by Western narratives or the existing regime.

While one should never use evil to try and obtain their version of good, it's often true that good can come from evil or selfish action. I hope the Venezuelan people will accidentally benefit from the selfish actions of the United States. And perhaps someday we will all gain our Individual freedoms from the world's tyrants and dictators.
