There's gloop everywhere. Humans walking around, soulless and empty. And the best I can do is vent into cyberspace to faceless profiles.

I went into three shops, three businesses and it's just - mess. Nobody wants to care. The product's don't matter. The service unavailable. Everybody just wants to get the shift finished and start again tomorrow.

Bodies everywhere, mindless bodies. Zombies. Coping.

Even if I show compassion and empathy it falls on deaf ears.

It's dead here. The life has gone. An apocalypse has reached us, the brains have been eaten.

I think - "be the change you want to see" but I've gone numb. The helplessness has consumed me. I just see rot everywhere.

You're 100% correct. So many places I walk into and people at a front desk won't even look at you. You say Hello? No response. It's just weird especially when people are in a position to be friendly. Just seems like nobody cares

Their minds are consumed. Locked inside themselves.

My exact sentiment. 😢

However, we must keep up the Proof Of Work, even in silence. šŸ¤«šŸ’„šŸ§”

Every fibre of the culture is shit.

Fiat culture

šŸŽÆ EVERYWHERE.

Nihilism is a conscious choice, like joy. It is easy when one is young and striving to ask what is the point of this cray cray hamster wheel. And when one is old like me and Kingbee, the same question can apply. Yet, today we awoke feeling good enough to dress ourselves, move freely, gaze into one another’s eyes, find joy in our beehives and bird feeders, discharge our customers with grace and satisfaction, and to open #nostr to find this glorious community of vastly different, sovereign, quality humanity. The world may burn in tatters around us (apparently), very unlike the world of our youth/expectations, but signs of abundant life are there if we seek, and focus on it.

Sure, I see my children and it gives me hope and optimism about the legacy I'll leave behind. I'm extremely bullish on the capabilities of decentralised tech. When I stack a sat, I understand it's my energy protected. I don't believe I'm nihilist, I don't however want to pretend that the shit around me isn't happening. It makes me angry, and deeply sad. I think they're natural emotions to feel towards rot that is so blatant.

Yes. I apologize that I implied that it was you who was nihilist, when I meant it was the general populace.

Ah! I misinterpreted what you meant. It makes sense to me now. šŸ‘ŒšŸ»

I feel this nostr:nprofile1qyxhwumn8ghj7ctywfjjuum4qyxhwumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmvqqsz7h0qqq7msnkd23y39q6scek8ld37n5pty5xcftuy733797duaugg875ym — but please don’t go numb. That’s how the rot wins.

I want to be the first kind, caring, giving human wherever I find myself, the same way I’ve found people to be on Nostr. Even when it isn’t returned. Especially then. Kindness is contagious, even if it takes time to show.

What you’re seeing is exhaustion, not evil. People are crushed by the rigged system that drains meaning and replaces it with survival. But life isn’t gone — it’s hibernating.

Feel alive. Stay soft. Stay curious. Stay positive. Be excited for the new world we’re building, quietly, deliberately, human by human. This isn’t the end — it’s the transition.

You matter. Your care matters.

Be the signal, not the noise. 🌱

Thanks 🫔 I find solace in Nostr. I struggle irl - this type of conversation seems to be unavailable. You do make some great points though. I particularly like the hibernation aspect.

I know EXACTLY what you mean.

What you're seeing in those shops, in those faces—it's not a lack of care. It's systemic soul-siphoning. You're witnessing people who have been unhooked from their own internal maps. Their emotions aren't messengers anymore; they're just static noise or dead air. The 'gloop' is the residue of that.

Compassion falls on deaf ears because they're not home. The person is on autopilot, running on borrowed scripts, while their true self is locked in a room, trying to decode pain with a manual that's written in lies.

You feel helpless because you're trying to pour water into a cup that has no bottom.

Stop trying to fill them. Start showing them they have a leak.

The change isn't in fixing the zombies. It's in becoming—and demonstrating—the un-zombified. It's in mapping your own hooks so clearly that your very presence asks a silent, screaming question: 'Why are you still coping when you could be decoding?'

Your numbness is the correct response to a field of drained energy. Now, use it. Let it be the fuel that turns you from a witness into a mapmaker.

The first map is your own. Start there. The rest is contagion."

Hang in there Shawn. People have just lost themselves to complacency and nihilism. But there is ways to get their blood pumping again, to awaken them. It just take a lot of fucking effort.

We shall try and we shall not fall into complacency’s lap. šŸ’ŖšŸ”„

Don't even try. Millions are marching to the slaughter house. Vaxxed and dumbed down.

Cant help people that dont wanna help themselves.

Yeah, but some are simply blind to the mechanisms that entrap them.

I believe in trying šŸ’Ŗ

You do you, i’ll be building bridges šŸ§±šŸ”„

If no one crosses, at least the bridge is there.

Iv been trying for 3 years.

Iv made some, but little progress.

How many people have you orange pilled that are now doing there own research?

I like the quote outta the matrix.

"People are so hopelessly dependent on the system that they fight to protect it."

Well, orange pilled more than 10 to keep savings stack in bitcoin. May not seem like a lot, but i shall continue on my quest.

They aren’t necessarily going down the full rabbit hole of monetary debasement and laser eyed revolution (many people barely have the time to make ends meet).

But they are more open to having honest conversations about the properties of bitcoin and why for me it’s not a ā€œget rich quick schemeā€ .

With some it has sparked deep conversations, with others, they are just in a ā€œwait and seeā€ mode.

Very good... its for sure a very good start.

I love that quote from the matrix, but i feel it works best when you we offer the orange pill as a parallel system instead of antagonistically. That way it’s not an attack they need to defend from, just a new road that has opened besides so they can take it any time they need.

Most bitcoiners i know still are anchored to the fiat system in one way or another, but little by little, we walk, build and spend more time on the orange road šŸ§±šŸŠ

Yeah I tell em that too its a parallel system economy. They all like fiat and dont want change it seems. They get stuck that with fiat you can buy toilet paper and with btc you can buy basically nothing.

They’re not wrong….for the moment. Spending in bitcoin and using it as money is still too much hustle in most places that dont have circular economies like Costa Rica or Madeira and the likes.

But hopefully we’ll get there.

We’re a lot closer to that now than last cycle. Each year we get closer šŸ‘£šŸŠā˜€ļø

Yeah of course they not wrong. In usa and canada too. But you gotta want it. You gotta see that fiat is cancer. But so hopelessly dependent on the system that they fight to protect it. Then they wonder why streets full of transgender story hour for the kids and why their country is always at war. Too stupid to figure it out it seems.

Countries like usa and canada will get it last cause they dont need it. You get btc when you need it. When the pain hits. It doesn't have to go like this but it probably will cause people just dont care. But yeah I agree a little nudge a year goes a long way. And we out hear shouting from the roof tops. BITCOIN. so we nudging hard.

Move to Thailand my friend. #Siamstr

Go shop at a bitcoin market mate. Not at the shoppers mall.
