Am I the only one who wish bitcoiners truly went through hell. Banning, confiscating, and more. Really to see who would still be here and standing. It's too easy when NGU.

A lot of people are going to be real surprised when they figure out that government still hates self custody and privacy.

my base case is that the Trojan Horse thing actually works and Bitcoin's ugliest days are a handful of years in the future when governments are done trying to milk it to fix their currency problems (doesn't work like they thought) and then realize they let a werewolf into the house and start thrashing like cornered animals.

It went pretty fast from "Fuck the government" to "Hey, they are on our side".
Well honestly I think there was a lot of pent up fear that the govt was going to make everyone’s lives completely miserable. I think a lot of the excitement is largely a sense of relief for a lot of people who were worried about individual situations. Might still be misplaced, lol
