It amazes me how women are capable of providing too much and not enough information at the same time when telling a story 😂

It’s not just women. There are plenty of women with clarity and plenty of men with the lack of it.
Idk if it’s an issue of clarity. Women pay attention to a lot of detail that is unimportant to men. It’s important to them though. It just seems simpler to think like a man lol
It’s mostly clarity. Either that or just out of touch. Focusing on things that the other person doesn’t care about is a monologue that probably doesn’t need to be uttered out loud!
You gotta understand what’s important to her and how it pertains to the story
Not everything can be important 😂
Pretty sure my daughter is in the other room still talking to herself. My rule is you get 3 “and then’s” per story.
Need to adopt this rule lol
Storytelling is an underrated skill.
I honestly take my storytelling skills for granted. The skills are the difference between a good laugh or life lesson and putting someone to sleep lol
I’ve realized as I’ve gotten older that success in the western world (at least) is largely due to being a good storyteller. Sales, getting a job, romance, interpersonal relationships all depend heavily on storytelling.
Very true. This is how you get laid and how you get into positions of power.
I’m not a good storyteller.
The storytelling formula is pretty straightforward. Start with a setting which is the exposition. Build up tension as the problem arises and really explain how the problem is a problem. The stress, anxiety, fear are all important emotions to focus on and captivate your audience. The climax is the solution. This is the punchline. It’s the most important part of the story. Delivering this well is essential. Then explain how things turned out after. People will love listening to you if you can do this.

One must bite their tongue and resist the urge to say, "GET TO THE POINT!!!" 🤣
I actually tried this once and the story went on for an hour. I didn’t really understand the point and at least 80% of the details were not necessary 😂
I'm guilty of making a short story long 🙋🏽♀️😂 but I'm also able to not get lost when others do so too 😌
Have mercy 😂
But they tell the stories better than men in my experience!
The best storytellers are comedians and writers. These fields are overwhelmingly dominated by men 😅
