OVH.com has disabled void.cat and has asked me to "clean my website" before it will be re-enabled, without providing any information whatsoever.

Pretty print that HTML?

Just send them this and say “done”

I can only imagine 😬

There isn't anything illegal afaik so idk what they mean

Put a Bitcoin logo on it and then claim that they'd be basically asking you to launder money?

You know... cleaning.

Actually i did have LN tips back in 2018, i was early than early https://web.archive.org/web/20180601111324/https://void.cat/

They have the absolute worst customer service I have experienced 😅

Does not sound like OVH is to blame in this case

True, i think its because the "Spanish National Cybersecurity Institute" sent me an alert about a possible virus hosted on void.cat, which i already removed, .cat is a spanish region domain which explains the leverage.

Don't play stupid. Your website and the other websites like nostr build and the free relays are full of illegal content. I can't enjoy the global feed because it's full of trash, spam, illegal content, bots. That's what happens when you don't charge a small fee register. You get the freeloaders and spammers abuse your content and not following the laws of where the server is located.

I ran a hosting company in the past and I always had issues with the image hosting websites. I had to follow the laws of the country in which my company and severs were located. Most of the issues was them running pirated software.

My customers were always trying to play dumb saying that they believed in the free market and them selling software was the free market or that there was no illegal content on their websites.

Most of them didn't require a fee to register on their website so they had tons of garbage on their website and they weren't able to moderate it.

I believe in the free market and I even don't care if people build websites that sell pirated software but the hosting companies and ISP's will shut down the hosting company if you don't obey the laws of the country.

I think it's bullshit that the hosting company is held responsible for the content that is on their customers servers but that's the shit world we live in.

If you want to change the laws. We have to get involved in politics and vote and donate to parties that went the free market and thrive.

Until then, webmasters need to stop allowing there websites to be free. Free services just brings spammers and will ruin your website and eventually the hosting company will shut down tour website.

I know it sucks but that is just the reality.

Vote libertarian.

Pricks.
