If you shop BF/ cyber Monday on Amazon , install Keepa extension. It’ll show you historical prices on each product.

Some vendors increase prices a few weeks before BF and then have a “sale”. Keep will keep 😉 you from falling for this

I hate this selling strategy. A lot of airlines/hotels/resorts do the same thing. 40% off sale is the same price all year, but it’s 40% off the price they charge over the Christmas break…….so technically they aren’t lieing….

This reminds me of an old yard sale trick my grandma taught me. Whenever she'd have a yard sale, and she had items that weren't selling, she'd write a more expensive price above the price she originally wrote, then cross it out with a marker so that it looked like it was marked down. 9 out of 10 times she'd end up selling those items shortly after the "markdown". She taught me a very important lesson; marketing is all about psychological manipulation.

I walked through my local grocery store today.

Buy one get one 20% off where black Friday "deals".

The week before, EVERYTHING was labled 25% off.

Guess they needed room to scam the black Friday shoppers. Lol
