Idk about you but I was raised by women who were forced into it through lack of choice. Feeling like they are treated as mindless breeding cattle or indentured domestic servants lead to misery. They lacked agency and lacked self sovereignty. How blessed and lucky are we that we can choose to go get masters degrees, have career success, then pivot to a more caretaking role as a matter of choice.
