the funding difficulties of nostr clients that we all use would end immediately if the client we used received 1 sat from every zap transaction. we wouldn’t even notice it, and it would foster healthy innovation, competition, and some amazing nostr clients would come out of it.
I'm pro this model, have said it from the beginning but it was not popular amongst influencers of early nostr 😁

What happens if one sat is worth $0.1, we go with millisats?
I understand that funding is complicated, but we already have paid relays and subscriptions.
Wouldn't it get too much at some point that it turns users away? Obviously its happening on the client side, and I'm very open to experiment with different models.

It would be nice to have an option to split every zap while using a given client
You can fund a client with 1 sat per zap
You can fund your employees - staff of “company abc” get 1 sat per business transaction on nostr
it just makes so much sense for so many reasons.
As usual in FOSS, funding difficulties of nostr clients would decrease if most nostr developers collaborated on one reference client and a few purposeful forks.
Instead, as usual, each prefers to be a capricious dictator over their client.
P.S. Any #tax is set so that most "wouldn't even notice it, and it wouldfoster..."👎
I know if you publish an article on YakiHonne, you can set it so that any zaps received on the article, YakiHonne gets X amount.
Also they have a “support YakiHonne” function that appears after a set amount of scrolling.
