Apples new privacy report feature is so good. You can see which google domains track you between apps. Adding these to my domain blacklist.

They use different domains too to get around dns blocking. Assholes.

It is! I don’t always understand what’s going on but it certainly makes for interesting analysis.

How do I blacklist a domain?🤷

I have it at my home network level, but trying this app for everything else

👀 might give it a go too

Seems to be working

Cool 😎

WireGuard + DNS

Wireguard doesn’t work everywhere unfortunately. On device blocking might be best option

You can override your DNS that way though

I don’t have any public resolvers with ad blocking

Don't worry. Google pays Apple $25B for your data. There are plenty of ways for them to get it.

Isnt that just to be the default search engine?

Who knows. That's what they say. There has never been a public contract that describes what Google gets. I think they get much more, including access to Apple's servers through the Apple Ad id they created some years ago (same one they forced Facebook to use - and pay for it).

That deal alone (which is pure profit) is about 25% of Apple's profits for the year. This is not something small, even for Apple.

Nice. Just enabled it.

Damn, bro.

Why Apple gotta gatekeep the tracking blacklist feature? 😏

Sick feature tho. 🤙

Apple actually cares about privacy unlike google

For now; Brits working pretty hard on dismantling that.

lmao

Was thinking - doesn’t nostr:npub168euw93e4cam59llcmydav0akwjk2p4nfy3p85pn22xv9y2jxuzq4s9uaw already do this with its DNS content blocking service?

Can’t remember if you can add them manually there

I think they use a built-in maintained list of trackers (so an element of hope that it contains the domains one doesn’t like) or the option to add a custom one. Can’t add them manually I don’t think. All beyond me truth be told 😅

Whats cool with this app is i can monitor the apple app report and add new domains when they come up.

Little snitch

waiting for android fans to say "android already had this feature 20 years ago"

does android have this?

no idea lol
