what's your preferred salt? I'm now between Celtic grey sea salt and Himalayan pink sea salt . I did not realise Kosher salt is as bad as Table salt.

(random info : himalayan pink sea salt is harvested from the foot of the Himalayan mountain that extends to Pakistan which is a dried up sea)

The evaporated tears of my enemies

Or Maldon salt

lol, gross. Will check out Maldon salt, saw a smoked version too.

It says for Maldon, 98.8% of sodium chloride, and 1.2% trace minerals

Himalayan is 96% of sodium chloride and 4% trace mineral

Celtic has 83% sodium chloride and 17% trace minerals

Trace minerals : magnesium, potassium, selenium, copper, zinc, iron and manganese

Redmond's Real Salt. Hands down.

nice. I've seen a lot of homestead videos on Redmond Salt. Googling up, this has about 93 % sodium chloride and 7% trace minerals

Exclusively Himalayan ⛰️

I've used this for a long time, and only recently switched to Celtic because of the trace mineral content. I still use this for cooking, while Celtic is for the water

From vitaminer.nu:

“Celtic salt has a much higher trace mineral content (17.5%) than Himalayan salt (4.1%). Many naturalists recommend Celtic salt.”

I didn’t know. I’ll have to check it out! Thx.

and also the no. of trace minerals content is closest to sea water i believe

Get all of them and mix.

now that's one way to maximise trace minerals lol !

All about that Celtic grey

love it. thus far has the lowest sodium chloride content (83%) and highest amt of trace mineral (17%)

The salt that comes in the little paper packet alongside pepper with the fork and knife and napkin

If you are taking table salt, try to consume lesser as its >99% sodium chloride, and trace minerals are stripped out of it when its processed

Why? NaCl is pretty high concentration in food and in your body normally anyway. Trace minerals are found in the meal many times over.

I don't think it makes much difference if salt contains 99% NaCl or 98% NaCl! Most high priced salts are not worth it. But yes, salt can be a good carrier medium for trace elements.

yeap - actual sea salt has 90+ trace elements, celtic 80+, himalayan 70+ , table salt 2

I prefer the Himalayan. It’s been locked away from environmental contamination for centuries.
