my mind was blown when i ate cherry tomatoes from our garden for the first time 🤯

I was always a willage kid and eating the first store brougth vegetables made me realize how good the home produce tastes.

I miss that garden 😢

i ate farm kale and it was delicious. everything in the market tastes so bland now.

Nah farm kale still isn’t that good IMHO

local farm, better tasting than anything i had, i had some backyard kale that was a long time ago....i have a dream of having my own backyard farm

nostr:npub15wgenn94ajftrngy00eacl5fy0k7w6w35hxvgl2hnyf0pawtm26qy07hfl taught me today if you drench fresh garden tomatoes in hot browned butter & salt it kinda tastes like lobster

Amazing

Soooo, it tastes like butter.

Lmao that’s probably the main culprit but it does knock off the tomatoes acidity & makes it close enough for my brain to really enjoy

I was on my way to Phoenix one time and stopped at some fast food place. Got a wrap. The tomato was so tasteless and rubbery, you’d have no idea what you’re eating if you didn’t see it first.

Sadly, this is how many people experience “tomatoes” from their grocery store.

Meanwhile, We made homemade tomato sauce today.

Off topic: We really need a mechanism on Nostr that recommends people to follow, based on own timeline. But not like on other platforms, selectable/plugable algorithm would be great 👍
