Dear outdoors /construction people what kind of boot do you recommend?

I am doing shovel work and 10k steps per day.

Go to a specialty store. Not a box store.

If you’re carrying weight i recommend not getting low cuff. If you can handle the heat get boots that can lace up past your ankle.

Not sure if you need hard toes or a shank. But i do recommend not cheeping out and finding a more specialized store near you

I have a safety shoe allowance from work. When I did irrigation I did steel-toed leather high tops. I would love to get a steel shank & rocker not sure that's a possibility. I just have no idea of who makes quality

Ill snap a photo of mine

Mind you Im also spending 600$ 😬

Same, muck boots don't stand up to farm work.

However I would look at Kevlar inserts if you deal with honey locust or Osage orange

Yeah thinking steel toe construction boots

I use oboz, and they work as both work and hiking boots. I do hvac/plumbing installations with them. This is what I did today.

Very clean manifold, I will look into oboz

My go-to boots were Danner, nearly bomb proof. That is one pretty copper install!

nice joints! clean work & good layout

Freaggin sweeeet

Nice layout

Timberland Pro boondock 6" are pretty comfortable and hold up well.

Oh that 8” is looking good too. Thank you for the recommendation

I’m a sucker for Timberlands 😂

if U get leather, get them wet & wear till dry to fit your feet/ old school..so
