I believe tor.

It's weird because it will randomly disconnect from all peers but like 3 or 4. And it's not always the same peers it stays connected to.

Just checked my connection with bevo and RTL is showing an onion address. Presumably that means im connected to him via tor no? He is one of the peers that I'm always disconnecting from.

Just checking my node one of my tor channels is open and one is in an "inactive" state. Im not 100% sure what causes it.

Do you use any "hard coded" peers in your conf file?

Also it could just be TOR DDOS issues and genral fuckery. Super annoying either way.

Noob question but how do I check my conf file?

Tor ddos sounds like it could be the culprit. Not much can be done about that right? But why would that cause some of my peers to disconnect but not all?

It depends on how you are running your node. If its bitcoind its in your /home/username/.bitcoin file. Core gui has a button to open it.

If you using umbril youll need to ssh into it and check umbrils data folder for it.

I'm on mynode. I'm assuming it'll be similar as umbrel where I need to shift in? I'll check when I get back home

Im super familiar with mynode any more but probaly.

Ssh*

Do you run any other software? when you use Tor... the amount of connection and bandwidth could be an issue, maybe your ISP is playing with your connection.

So for my setup, I have a dedicated machine that is running two vms. One vm has mynode (which is the one with issues) and the other running umbrel.

I have had annoying power issues here for past few weeks due to a tornado that came through. We still have seen occasional surges. That likely has something to do with it.

Also I'm running a few miners and my house is notorious for tripping breakers. I think my electricity here is not the cleanest unfortunately. But I've had several instances of overloading a couple circuits and I think that could be contributing to the problem too...

That or tor is just finicky

Raspberry pi seems to be having these issues, could just be start9
