What streaming service has the best shows and movies right now? It's time to rotate my one streaming subscription from HBO Max. Most of them I haven't subscribed to in at least a year so there should be a lot of new content for me no matter where I go. I think I had Netflix before Max. #asknostr

What about canceling your current subscription and waiting for one month to subscribe to a new one.
During that month, you could read Tolkien's LOTR, or Dostoyevsky's Crime and Punishment or The Brothers Karamazov, or Harper Lee's To Kill a Mocking Bird, or F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby, Georg Orwell's Nineteen Eighty Four, or some other classical novel.

Ditch subscription services and torrent everything.
Fuck ask of these companies and their "We can take it away from you if we want" attitude.
Torrenting is also a big "fuck you" to everyone involved in creating the shows. I'd rather pay and support the creation of more content than make up half assed justifications for theft. If I though these companies were really so evil I would stop watching their content altogether.
It's not theft if purchasing it's no longer owning
If you paid for digital media a la carte that your access to was later removed then I would support pirating it. Just because that has happened in the past does not justify pirating everything you want in perpetuity. There is also no expectation of ownership when subscribing to streaming services.
Exactly, but that is what I take issue with. When I spend my money on something I expect to have access to and otherwise be able to do whatever I wish with it. I'm fundamentally against the worldview that these companies are forcing on us.
Until that changes, I'll be downloading or buying hard copies thanks.
