Andreas Antonopoulos

Andreas Antonopoulos

Sad how far he's fallen
Not sure what you mean. Fallen in popularity? I agree, but that was inevitable once he stopped producing content.
I think aantonop played a crucial role as an early evangelist. He was real fucking good at it too. He went broke doing it and then was saved by anonymous donations. Then he stopped. Now he's a college professor in Greece. I hope he is living his best life and I'm very grateful for his contributions. Very happy to see Harding take up the mantle for Mastering Bitcoin 3rd edition.
I don't think of Antonopoulos as 'fallen' in any sense. He has certainly earned a retirement from public life.
I need some help understanding what is being said here...
He's saying institutional ETF investors will oppose changing bitcoin in ways that displease their masters.
He also got more downvotes than upvotes. This man used to be the most important voice in bitcoin.
Fidelity is funding Bitcoin development. Maybe he is right

Lol.. the Owners and Users of Actual #Bitcoin will oppose changing Bitcoin in any way that displeases THEM!
Especially the node operators like me. This is the power of Open Source. I don't like the scammy, abusive crap that's been going on lately.
Fortunately, neither do many of us. We have the power to edit, modify and change the code. And that's what we're doing.
If I have anything to say about it. The code will be so pure and tight Again! that scammers will continue to shit their pants..😠🧡😊🦍
Are you a bitcoin core contributor?

I don't understand your question. Bitcoin is Open Source. We're all #Bitcoin. We're all Bitcoin's developers.
Especially virtuous full nodes, and Bitcoin loyalist. Are you asking do I know how to code? Yes, long before you were born.
But #Satoshi already wrote the #code. All we have to do is not break it lol..🧡😊🦍
you sound like an ai bot
I don't see what's wrong about that perspective. Once financial institutions come into the picture the game gets more complex.
The last contentious fork was pushed by big money players. They threw money around to influence the fork, IMO in a naive way, and lost bigly. How will it play out when big money is 10x or 100x bigger and more sophisticated?
It's an important concern. Not sure what can be done but not considering this possibility is definitely a mistake.
Okay that's very well said. I haven't thought about it all that much thought I don't think the bitcoin community as a whole is ready for something like this.
See my post below..🧡😊🦍
Where will you be when bankers and regulators will fork #bitcoin?
A big holder has the same power over the protocol as a small holder. They will not have more power or more votes because they hold a majority of bitcoin. Are you sure it's the right Andreas?
And how comes this guy is not on nostr!
They have more power to impact the price of a contentious fork.
