I held my student for five minutes as he sobbed in my arms. He told me of the derogatory, racist slurs and comments he had recieved during his lunch recess. Words do far more damage than fists. Sometimes, I lose faith in humans. Today, was one such day.

I am well aware. I have no illusions, or naivety. Thanks 🫂💜.
That’s good! 🫂
I was aiming for a friendly message to Sandy after saying “we’re all” …but maybe I took that too literally
Thanks, well aware. I have 2 teen daughters who have both been bullied in the past. It was purely a positive comment.
Good will prevail, hopefully before too much damage is done 🫂
Once you hear these words, they can never be taken back. It's like crumpling a piece of paper. No matter how hard you try, you can never smooth it back out.
Very true... somewhere in all that is the seed of resilience though. And that time you spent could be what germinates it. 🫂💜
