#GrapheneOS has developed changes with eSIM management to help eSIM users:

- eSIM management will no longer require Sandboxed Google Play.

- eSIM management binaries are isolated from Google Play services.

- Nor will they make direct connections to Google via Google Play Services to activate eSIMs.

Oh fuck yes.

Woah. Awesome work

This is exciting. Was hoping to try an esim on an upcoming trip and have been running play services free so far πŸ™Œ

I definitely need a Pixel as my next device.

Cool, I wanted to mess around with silent.link and eSIM, but the Play stuff had me wondering. Perfect timing.

Silent link is great. I run play services anyway so I've been using it on my graphene phone. Now that you don't need to touch google, it's even better πŸ’ͺ

Wen dis?

Hopefully very soon. We update around a near-weekly basis, but I'm not the person to make such guarantees, there's a few other valuable additions coming too.

Daymn son! This is a game changer!

Amazing, Android auto then eSIM without google. GrapheneOS is ready for mass adoption now.

Do you disable all connections to GrapheneOS servers? You are afraid of Google servers and you're OK that GrapheneOS and all who are capable to monitor Internet traffic can monitor you?

Using GrapheneOS you're like a beacon.

Even if you use different profiles for different apps data brokers can connect you using unique phone ID.

OMG THANK YOU ALL

Thats awesome! Looking forward for this for quite a while ❀️

No longer Google shitPlay for eSim! This is amazing! Thank you!

Great news for those using GrapheneOS and eSims (particularly ones from silent.link)
