My kids

I'd like to know this as well. I'm currently using an app called Suntimes though that adjusts with the sunrise in your area.

my phone's battery is incredibly old and only lasts for about 3-4 hours of screen time, so i'd just like to not rely on an unreliable device

Makes sense.

Following

Blinds that open with the sun would be pretty cool.

that would mean us actually having sun here

Get a woman. They are the best alarm clocks.

It being winter here, i have a fan heater on a 24hr timer in my room. Noisy thing kicking in wakes me instantly

ah yes, that's actually solid

I have the slightest sunray sneaking through the tiniest crack in the most remote corner of my apartment.

Oh, and a cat.

Heh! In my twenties, I had a box with two squeaky guinea-pig sisters on the other side of my room. Dawn = breakfast, hangover is no excuse :D

Casio F91W

you actually wake up to a watch?

i am jealous

I like the one with the projected time on the ceiling, but i also like the ones with the gradual sound and/or light.

never seen any of those

no alarm clock needed, just go to bed when the sun goes down and wake up when sun goes up 🤷‍♂️

i'm a night owl, with chores early morning, but naturally i'd sleep for like 10-11 hours in a row

i'd love nothing more than that, but it doesn't fit with the 9-5 norm of life 😅

I see, perhaps that won't work for you lol. I'm super sleepy by 10-11PM (full time job and a small 👶) and get up at naturally around 7AM or when my kid needs feeding so I don't need an alarm. Praise the Sun \[T]/

If you actually need an alarm and need to get up before sunrise in winter, get one with an artificial sun light. And one with tactile buttons.

I used to have this one, but not being able to feel the buttons is a nightmare, especially if you need glasses to see what you do.

Lol I have the exact same one with the exact same problem 😂🤓

It's a fucking usability nightmare. For the rest it's a good device, albeit a bit too light (weight wise), but having a completely smooth facia where the buttons are is really really destroying the whole thing. I'm glad I got rid of it.

We used to have an ancient one, that one was perfect. But it died after 10+ years, unfortunately.

Yep, started out with exact same one. Wonderful device. No improvement needed 🤷‍♂️
