Sourdough soft bread loaf is getting easier to master! I am at a place where I enjoy making it, without a big temptation to eat it myself. Huge accomplishment for me over the years of changing my eating lifestyle.

Now I need to master getting the slices cut evenly. 🤷‍♀️ What’s the trick?

Ah, nice even slices are tricky. Lining your shoulder up behind the knife can help, try and stay relaxed. You can use the first knuckle on the hand holding the bread to support the blade on the far side of the loaf. Apply gentle pressure against the knuckle, line up the blade, and saw gently. Rotate the blade very gently if it gets off track. Just a few ideas, good luck!

Thanks!

Nice to meet you gale

big knife, smooth blade (not serrated), and holding the loaf steady. Most bakeries use a machine to make them even. My wife makes a new loaf every week and we just rip chunks out.

Thanks!

Nice to meet you chad 😉🤝

Well done! 👩‍🍳

Thanks!

Cutting bread well takes practice, practice and practice.

Apparently so lol

Much practice. I've spent a long time cutting wedges 😭

It’s harder than one would think, especially a soft loaf like this

Absolutely. You think it's easy, then you try it and bam! You can't cut bread! 😔

I was about to say, nooo Dawn…don’t do it!!!! 😂
