Thanks! I drink an espresso every day, mainly out of habit, for over 40 years. I don't really get an energy boost (that I can feel) any more. I've cut back on all other coffee intake, just the espresso every morning. I've also gone without for a week or so at a time but not felt 'ill' for it. I have thought about giving up entirely, but not just yet.

Thanks again for the detail. Helps me think more clearly about what I want/need to do.

Sounds like no problems in the thyroid/adrenal arena.

Are you usually warm or do you ever get chills?

I'm usually warm, much to the gratitude of my wife.

And a good appetite while staying relatively lean without killing yourself?

Sounds like a solid thyroid/hormones/metabolism to me.

Sorry, got busy working in the yard.

Well, tbh, I can attest to the "good appetite" part but not the "staying relatively lean" part.

I've managed to drop about 30 pounds since November. I switched to a keto-ish diet, and now I'm down to about 193, with a goal of 180, and 170 if I can manage it.

What did you eat before dieting?

Pretty much anything I wanted.

Seconds, if I liked it.
