The four photos that sum up 2025 for me. Friends old and new showed up in a huge way and made my dream a reality.

I’m declaring 2026 the year of the value for value economy. I’ve made sure that everyone who helps with the house has been compensated, either financially, educationally or with food 😋 This is a model that works and should be expanded to other people who want dome homes. We can create a win-win economy where the client and world ends up with something beautiful, and the creators are paid so they can spend more of their time building and making art. This is becoming more possible on the internet thanks to Nostr and the Bitcoin Lightning network, but it’s also a philosophy we can apply in our local communities, paying people who care instead of corporations that just care about their bottom line. We should all be able to make a living doing what we love, and I believe that is possible.

Here’s to an amazing 2025, and hopefully an even better 2026 🥂

There was a similar effort at Rimrock Meadows, but it used hay bale construction. The story ended up being kind of sad, as they couldn't get it permitted for living. I emailed back and forth a bit with the builder at the time. The roof was particularly beautiful.
