My boss just confidently told a client, that i could drive four hours away, and fix a product that I’ve never seen, written in a programming language I’ve never used (pascal for the curious) running on an OS I’ve never done support for, in TWO DAYS.

At this point I don’t know whether to feel complimented or cry.

Run.

I forgot about option three. I might need to consider this one.

He will get a promotion.

You will get in trouble for not doing your work.

He owns the business. So you’re probably right on both counts. He will give himself a promotion, and I’ll be a liability at eval time.

Both.

Congratulations.

My feelings are getting complicated

Ooff, good luck…

It’s the state of business everywhere. It’s not wrong to lie if you are Business owner. Limited Liability

I'm curious enough to look up the #PointyHairedBoss 😂

Yikes.

No product, no problem. Fixed in < 20 seconds

Or, CHALLENGE ACCEPTED

My old boss did something like this to me twice and I managed to succeed. Take it as an enormous and rather ballsy compliment and then go forth and conquer. 🏋️‍♂️

David ran *toward* Goliath.

🤙🏼

🤣🤣🤣

Totally relatable... 😭😭😭
