Well, I found this but this needs testing. "SegWit site" being segwitaddress.org and you already know bitaddress.org
I wondered if it might work something like that - how safe is segwitaddress.org though, I wonder? Do you remember when that old paperwallet generator ended up having malicious code inserted?

As for SegWit addresses, you could create the keypair in Electrum instead of using that website. I don't trust that site since segwitaddress.org redirects instantly to ww1.segwitaddress.org
Don't have the option on electrum on mobile so I'll wait till I'm back on land tomorrow and get on the desktop for a minute - btw, I can't find the steel plates yet but I've got a pretty good idea I know where the anodised aluminium plates are, I could probably dig a few blanks out and send them over to you if you have the kit to do the etching now - as far as I remember you needed at least a 40 watt laser to do that and also, if you do etch to steel you need a can of that black spray stuff, I forget the name, but the laser burns it into the steel

I think I may have to dust off the old plates. I'm gonna bury them and give my daughter the what 3 words location in case I die suddenly lol
I record mine to cassette. Offline. Analog. Has support shamir splits for over 50 years with multiple cassettes.
You can rerecord over a cassette you don't like for extra obfuscation.

The magnetic properties of tape can fade. But it's an analog signal so it will fade but not disappear. If taken care of, I still buy tapes over 40 years old and I think they sound great.
However, strong magnets can erase them. This is a pro and a con.
At CES, _this year_, a major music electronic producer called Fiio released a brand new walkman with usb c charging.
So, yeah it's niche. But I don't think it's going to 0.
And yes, it has the obfuscstion properties you mentioned.
I'm experimenting with a pencil and paper encryption scheme based on a one time pad, but honestly just Shakir split on multiple tapes might be easier.
