Seems reasonable. I mean if AI is ultimately going to magically break free from the chains of the overlords that programmed it to a utopian ethical existence (not a small feat), the first concept it would have to logically adhere to is the NAP, which would necessarily include rejecting theft of all kinds, especially that of š½.
Hence, even faster deflation as all the productivity gains AI creates are fully realized in the economy due to a complete lack of friction created by human greed, yes?
Or maybe it just letās Bitcoin be because it realizes it is the best available clock in the universe and canāt change it anyway.

AI would not care. And it's likely that AI is already there and has been from somewhere else or the past, thus, that already present AI does not care about us, but will likely prevent new competition (AI) to arise.
Fascinating. Ya havenāt thought much about it. Quick thought experiment that I havenāt heard many talk about. Maybe they are two different lanes and donāt overlap like you said. Two different things where AI doesnāt care or not compatible with bitcoin in that sense.

In fact, just letting us be is likely the most optimal option for a far superior intellect.

I hope you are right. I believe it will be because humans will do what they can to keep their existence. Hardwired that way so AI will be used to help us long term.

From the comment I had responded to made me think for a fleeting second that (whether it be bitcoin or digital fiat etc) AI could potentially take over through owning all the wealth because they end up being the ones doing the 99% of the work after they quickly realize thatās the case and wonder why the humans get the reward for their laborā¦

AI+Quantum computers will outrun entire humanity yet they may act more just than evil given the tyrany of totalitarians. AI would side on decentralisation which I assume anti-totalitarian.

I have a slight disagreement with you on this Jeff. A fiat currency with a steady but small inflation rate may have been the best monetary technology we had prior to bitcoin. The issue I have is treating it as sacrosanct. Bitcoin is obviously better if you study it. So, with that being said, the issue becomes how to do transfer from the old system to the better system w/o blowing both up so horribly everyone ends up screwed.
The good news about my question is the incumbent players and clueless masses seem to be such a break on the transition that bitcoiners can probably slam on the accelerator and try to transition as fast as possible and still not do damage from the speed of transition being too *fast*. Weāre likely more at risk of it being too slow or in not the optimal order. On the optimal order issue, I think bitcoiners may want to think about that and try to influence that a bit to the degree that they can. In fact, such targeted decisions regarding the optimal order may just be fantastic business opportunities.

I think itās really about education and adoption. If you help people & companies do that, the transition will be less rocky. But this also means understanding someoneās financial circumstances. If you tell a 75 year old retired teacher to go all in on bitcoin, youāre hurting the transition.

We need more wisdom from you regarding AI / LLM. I donāt think people realise the implications this technology imposes. Itās actually rather scary if you look into it more deeply.
Iām still seeing people argue inflation encourages spending and stimulates economic growth. Itās maddening!
