I’d say more male by far. I am female & work in finance. I’ve tried to orange pill every woman I work with & have not yet been successful. I am amazed at how many women in finance know nothing about money.

The closest I have seen in a coworker who’s interested in non traditional savings is the one girl who buys silver, she thinks I’m insane. I’ll retire before her.

“She thinks I’m insane. I think she’s insane.”

Not one bit. I am highly encouraging her silver buys. I don’t think it’s enough to weather the storm, but she will fare better than most.

Precious metals are ruined by the spread and fees dealers charge on buys and sells imo. Also, money that can’t move over comms channels is inferior and limited in utility. Stock to flow on silver is grim too. I just can’t see it being a winning move.

Agreed. That’s why I buy bitcoin

I'm not sure I agree with this.

Gold maybe.

The point is that it is something more than stock or fiat bucks.

I'm sympathetic to this angle, but you should be educating her on gold if possible.

Gold vs Silver is the hard money theorem at play which lends itself to comparing monies by hardness...to Bitcoin.

Yeah, she’s a Costco buyer so I have been pointing out the sales when they pop, and TBF I really think she talks silver as it is a ‘safer’ work conversation than gold. At least I really hope so

She buys silver at Costco?

Yep - if you use their credit card you get a percentage back at the end of the year & you get more for being an executive member. With the perks it can fall below spot.

& you can't buy gold?

No, they sell gold as well

Diverting her savings to gold will help her, but educating her on why that is the case will save her 💗

Very common story, even amongst men in finance.

Silver is just 😂.

Are you working private wealth management?

Nothing that fancy, just mortgages
