A short while ago, I decided to run BTCPay Server, Cloudflare tunnels, and some other pretty routine tasks on my nostr:nprofile1qyt8wue69uhh2mtzwfjkctnvda3kzmp6xsurgwqpzpmhxw309a6k6cnjv4kr5dpcxsuqqg829c7gzngg5du03fdcltkt9zzdqkz4jaw9ef94cf0z6munv2r0zsg8cnv5 device. Boy, what a fucking mistake that was. Today, I updated my Umbrel from 1.3 to 1.4, and it completely fucked up everything. If you have an Umbrel device, treat it like a toy, not a serious business tool. It will completely ruin your fucking life.

All of these easy solutions are to be handled very carefully. I've been using Start9 and I've made a lot of mistakes. Like Linux it gets better over time. Like Linux we are with lightning and Layer 2 technologies at 1998.

And buy it from them, if you can.π
I had a couple of early problems
problems when I first installed the fully loaded Start One unit I bought (with bitcoin!) in Nashville last year...
Start9 support was great, and it turned out that it was a local hardware problem OUTSIDE the unit (a flaky Ethernet cable)...
My Start One has been running like a champ since then. ππ»π«πππ
#Start9
It's for this reason I've never gone down the rabbit hole of umbrel.
Just a simpleton running a full node on Linux. Lightning is still too hard
