Big facts. I hate that I picked up vaping. I never smoked in my home. But Vape is a different story. No smell. No yellow ceiling. Swear it will be the hardest thing to quit. I vape everywhere. Constantly. Not sure how to even put it down.

After using it for 6/7 years I think vaping is worse than cigs.

I say this because of the relationship with nicotine each allow to form.

Cigs were bad. But my relationship with nicotine became a new beast when vaping became my main source of nic.

Was able to quit for 3 months with zyn but picked it back up after a death in my personal life.

Wishing you the best of luck ๐Ÿซก

Agree. I know for a fact that my vape addiction is way worse than cigarettes. I quit smoking rather easily with patches. But the flavor of vapes and the convenience of taking a puff here and there is just such a hard habit to break. I do enjoy a few drinks, so it makes it hard to not have my vape beside me also. If I could go back, as much as I do enjoy it, Iโ€™d never pick up a vape

We can do it!!!!! ๐Ÿซก

First step is quitting the act of vaping by using oral nicotine (gum/zyn)

Then ur relationship to nic starts becoming less satisfying / you associate more negative traits with it (spitting/bad taste)

Kicked vaping for multiple months both times I rlly attempted this method

This is true. And thatโ€™s why vaping is worse than cigarettes IMO. I couldnโ€™t smoke now if I wanted too, taste terrible. The. Iโ€™ve got cherry lemonade and fruit punch flavored vapes, so the taste makes it even harder to kick it. Plus with three kids, I never want to see them pick it up ๐Ÿงก

Man at least youโ€™re aware that itโ€™s a huge problem, I straight up denied it until my body started fighting it, youโ€™re really lucky you can def learn from my mistake and take it slowly, day by day smoke less, bc I had to go full cold Turkey unless I wanted to visit the ER, you know itโ€™s an addiction when every 20 mins you gotta hit it.. or even just have it on you at all timesโ€ฆ itโ€™s crazy my stress levels would significantly go down if I had it in my hands ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ if thatโ€™s not a dependency idk what is. Iโ€™m rooting for you brother!! You really donโ€™t have to wait until something bad develops ๐Ÿซก btw if you just like vaping not nicotine I think thereโ€™s a safer alternative out there that has 0 chemicals and itโ€™s all plant matter, thatโ€™s a start tbh ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿซ‚๐Ÿ’œ

This is true. Iโ€™ve tried some non nicotine vapes. Just canโ€™t find a flavor that hits the same. Probably should just suck it up and deal with it. I vape way more than I ever smoked. Iโ€™m sure other vape gang know how it feels to get the heart palpitations, and that is a scary feeling ๐Ÿงก just like any other addiction itโ€™s body over mind, but I swear vaping is a seriously hard battle to fight.

Hell yeah itโ€™s one of the hardest things Iโ€™ve tried to do til this day which is crazy to say! Canโ€™t wait for the day in which itโ€™s just a story of a bad time in my life.

This is going to sound very dumb, however it works. You can replace your vaping anxiety fix with a metal bottle of cold water on your desk, along with some mate, always ready to be prepared. Instead of vaping, you'll just drink water or mate. And that will fix your problem.

You can also hack your habit if you purchase some nice waterproof box with a little door that you can open and close with keys. Put that box on your somewhere in your garden or garage. And make it, so you always put your vaporizer in there. You can use it as long as you want, but as long as you use it only in that area near the place where you have to safe keep it.

Followed and โšก๏ธ. No help is dumb help ๐Ÿงก

Thanks plebbro. I insist. If you want to know wtf is mate and how to prepare it, I can record a video for you and tell you how to buy some in your area. No need for sats, just pure love. I have done before and helped some friends and netizen-Bros quit smoking & vaping.

Facts really appreciate the advice & help bro ๐Ÿซ‚ I have a place nearby that sells Yerba mate teas and the cup! Gonna go see them tomorrow and let you know what I find ๐Ÿซก

Can I suggest how I gave up nicotine?

I was so addicted that even the thought of giving up made me want to have more. It was completely impossible for me to give up or even imagine it

So I decided to not give up

I chose instead to make a deal with myself. Every time I chose to vape I set a clock and delayed by 1 minute. This removed the stress of giving up but created a moment of relaxing self observation. When I felt comfortable with the 1 minute delay I kept adding more time. 5 mins, then 6 then 10 then half an hour. Whatever ever felt comfortable.

THEN, what I noticed in those few minutes, I started becoming more aware. Addiction is automated choice making. By creating time (and being relaxed because I wasn't giving up - just delaying), I became more conscious and the auto choice was becoming more like me choosing.

I kept this going for days, week, months. Adding a few more minutes here and there, staying relaxed and observing myself. Growing awareness of myself in a very natural way.

It is now 4 1/2 years since I smoked or vaped. I still haven't given up because if the urge ever hits me I can still have a vape like in 6 weeks (if I really wanted it) but I keep forgetting and it's no big deal anymore.

Jean-Paul's idea is the same because he uses space to create the distance between choice and execution. The principle is the same

Don't give up

Stay relaxed

Create a little gap in time (or space)

Eventually the auto choice becomes conscious choice

And enjoy yourself

This is so incredible, hearing from others that quit vaping. It seems like such and impossible habit to give up. Like I said when I smoked l, never in the house. So cold weather i was like this is miserable anyways. Smoking on the beach? No way you get by with it. Vaping however can be so discreet and โ€œcleanโ€ .. this is a very interesting note, i appreciate the comment. So many tips from people that actually gave it up makes it seem more possible when others just say why not just quit. Itโ€™s a crazy addictive habit. Very happy to see these comments. Followed you and thank you โšก๏ธ

Happy to help.

I wish I figured out my technique years before. Instead of giving up and dreading to process, after a while it became an adventure and a enjoyable thing to do. Especially when you become more aware of the triggers that create the desire for nicotine.

(Someone just sent me 100 sats! TY. They just bought my grandchildren a house in 2050 ๐Ÿ˜ )

Sent for the note โšก๏ธ๐Ÿ™ just appreciate anyone that take time to write a note about their own experience. Itโ€™s definitely a very addictive thing.m and something i plant to kick ๐Ÿฆต

Great post. Thank you
