Any manga / anime fans here ?

If yes tell me your top 3.

Mine would probably be something like (but it’s very hard to keep only 3):

- Dragon Ball (slightly biased because grew up with it, nostalgia plays a big part here but still it’s the father of all Shonens)

- Shingeki No Kyiojin, the story is just incredible, the scenario is mind blowing as well as the foreshadowing and different grids of reading after discovering new elements of the story

- Vinland Saga for the beautiful message and character development of Thorfinn, so many goated quotes in it (No one is your enemy. You have no enemies at all. / A true warrior needs no sword)

I've only read the first 7 volumes of Naruto so far. Planning to read more manga this next year. I've always read American comics.

Agree with this take, however I am a huge fan of Moebius and Metal Hurlant/Heavy Metal is more to my taste than most manga.

Death Note, Full Metal Alchemist, Attack on Titan. These are also the only 3 I've watched. Not an anime fan. :)

Yeah Attack on Titan is awesome (I have it on my top 3 it’s just that I used the original Japanese name which is Shingeki No Kyojin).

Why are you not fan ? You did not like those ones ?

Oh no I loved them. I'm just not a fan in a sense that I haven't seen whole bunch of them and not very knowledgeable about it. I'm not interested in diving too deep in that rabbithole.

Always loved Akira because it's AKIRA, Trigun as Vash is a really well done character, and Vampire Hunter D was one of my favorites as a teen.

Dooooooope thread!! So hard to narrow it down to three with stories like DanDaDan coming out recently. Today my top 3 looks like:

1) One Piece - I can’t summarize my love for this story in a kind 1 note.

2) Shokugeki no Soma (Food Wars) - funny afff and I love to cook and eat. It’s a great break from the typical AHHHHHHHHHH MY POWER LEVEL IS RISINGGGGGG types of anime/manga stories

3) Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) - the character development and art style are dope.

I haven’t read all of DanDaDan yet but the anime so far is lit and will wedge itself into my favorites list at some point soon.

Honorable mentions include Naruto, Dragon Ball, Bleach, and Jujutsu Kaisen!!

Yeahhh it’s extremely hard to narrow it down to three.

I need to read and watch DanDaDan, heard so many good things about it.

For some reason I never got deep into One Piece despite it being a huge classic, I am kinda blocked by the characters design I think and how eccentric they are.

I think I am too old school haha.

I did not mention them but I am a huge fan of Saint Seiya and Hokuto No Ken.

Ohhh yeah I love Hunter x Hunter. The chimera ants arc is incredible. Meruem is one of the best antagonist ever. Very good development.

Cowboy Bebop, Code Geass, Full Metal Alchemist, Attack on Titan, and various Studio Ghibli movies are among my favorites.

Solid list. Top of mind for me would be Gurren Lagann, Evangelion, Code Geass, Berserk, Macross Frontier, Sword Art Online

I will highlight my top 3.

1- Attack of the titans, grabbed me from the first episode. I don't even know why, but it was great

2- Bleach, epic fights and interesting plot with arancars

3 it's possible, it can't be equated to an anime, but still I'll give this place to Avatar: The Legend of Aang.

Violet Evergarden is a beautifully written and animated story about the meaning of love, sacrifice, and empathy.

Sweetness and Lightning is the story of a widower getting to know his young daughter (and make friends) through learning to cook.

Both recommended.
