Very cool 🥳
I prefer dry fasts to water fasts especially for longer duration.
You get into ketosis super quick and don't have the episodes of hunger in the first 2 days like with water fasting.
As far as I know, that's because your body will actually burn fat sooner to make its own water that way, like a camel 😇👍
Dry fasting is supposed to be 3x stronger than water fasting for healing, but beside general inflammation and well-being I had no issues to heal, so I can't really confirm that.
I use to do long water fasts up to 21 days, but then switched to dry fasting and liked it a lot more.
My longest dry fast was 5 days 😁
I normally experience lower energy around the second day of the dry fast and at day 4 or 5.
Currently, I'm dry fasting no more than 3 days, since that is supposed to activate all the good things and longer isn't necessary.
Often times I will also just skip a meal, which automatically is a 47h fast because I only eat once a day.
I mostly don't know if I'm going to do it just until before the meal, so on those days I do water fasts 😅
To help yourself get into ketosis faster you could try eating low or no carb meals the days leading up to the fast, with some moderate exercise like walking out jogging to burn off the rest of your carbs 👍
