I don't understand why any of this matters. People will do what they wanna do. Depending on the current Overton window, some people will have to hide what they do.

It just doesn't matter! It's wasted energy. Very few changes are intended anyway. Trump probably didn't intend the EU to get independent nuclear weapons they can attack the US with, but that's what's happening.

Ideologues always think they can design a plan and it will work. Then people improvise and the plan gets ruined.

There isn't meant to be one way of living. Humans are not designed for that. Some will rebel and some will pretend to toe the line, but very few will actually behave as we want them to.
