TikTok is insanely invasive which allows it to show you videos it knows you will watch. IMO it is a psyop to destroy our younger generations. We've all seen the shit about how China sees very different content than we do here in the US. That is on purpose.

Cool is elusive and tiktok is a rare phenom but for focus I Ioved what RHR went over last time.
Tiktok does a couple of things that make it so insanely popular. The big one is that you can get your 15 minutes of fame. One algorithm push and sally nobody is a viral sensation because she poored water on her dog and said something catchy.
Now it's the dog water challenge, using her sound. And that right there, is the other big thing. People that would never do it, now just have to karaoke it. And now you have a feed full of people doing the dog water challege to the same repeating sound.
Rinse, repeat with another shmo.
And that's just one. They have so many other little brain worm dopamine hits to keep you there and scrolling. And they keep adding more.
We need more of this on #nostr

Seems not many users using nostr, most of them are with Tech background. Normal user’s logic are still too used to web2 platforms.
Create plugins for FB, Instagram, Telegram, etc...
TBH most of my friends don't use FB/Instagram/Whatever in the intended way mostly for sharing "stories" which I think is now replacement for something like short status text that used to be in messaging apps. I would say insta/fb stories/bereal.
The problem is also that this is integrated into main communication app which is Messenger for most of people. There is little hope to replace something with such network effect as it.

Not necessarily. They have grown into a world where privacy is attacked and seemingly non-existent.
Some of them are turning away from building a distorted public image. It is not unusual for them to use multiple public and private accounts, whether on the same platform or different.
Either increase the non-bitcoin content posted here, or get young people to see Bitcoin as cool.
Currently Nostr is a Bitcoin community, and that's not attractive to the mainstream. A vast majority of the content on Nostr is Bitcoin related, and the vast majority of the remainder is about Nostr. These two topics are uninteresting to most people.

As a parent would you allow your young children uncontrolled access to 'nostr' at this time? I wouldn't. Nor would I allow them uncontrolled access to TV.

Vote for leaders who censor ideologies popular in youth culture. It's kinda like bitcoin. Can't wake people up to fiat issues until they begin to feel them. Until nostr is perceived as necessary by the masses, it's not necessary.
