It's hard to find gaming content on here. If you add mostr. pub to your relays you do get some gaming content that is pulled over from the Fediverse, but then your global feed will be wild.
How do I do that?
I dont know how your client is setup, but in Amethyst it's easy to find you list of relays and add new ones. The three that allow cross-posting from Mastodon are:

wss://nostr.coinfund.app

I love #bitcoin but I don't talk about it publicly, there are plenty of better accounts for that.
So I just post about things I find interesting and hope others would too.
I suggest having your interests as hashtags in your profile to make it easier to find compatible people, perhaps #nostr search also picks this up too?

#grownostr is supposed to be for non bitcoin content. Not a lot of community enforcement with that though

afaik, that hashtag was originally used for talking about growing stuff, like gardening and homesteading. It was started by a podcaster but I can't remember the name right now.
then it became a general hashtag for growing nostr as in branching out to non-bitcoin content. This made it pretty popular and with all popular hashtags, it got co-opted by bots and used so widely it isn't useful anymore.
