The thing about sewing is that it's not THAT fun, you know.

It's simple, it's repetitive, it's.. boring. It's very similar to mining actually. Guessing a number until you find the right one. It's simple, repetitive and... probably boring. But it has to be done.

It's pure work.

But honest work.

A lot of my work is similar. Machining the same part hundreds of times, sanding wooden pieces for finishing, or standing at a CNC machine making sure it doesn’t destroy my parts. Boring and repetative at times for sure but sometimes they’re the moments I enjoy the most as it reminds me how hard I’ve worked to refine my skills so deeply to have these tasks accomplished with precision essentially on autopilot.

If it's not fun, why are you doing it? I've never sewed anything but I think I would enjoy it. If it's just to make money, make it by doing something you enjoy.

I don't think anyone could "have fun" while sewing for hours. It's a too simplistic task for that. Sure you might have fun at first but you might change your mind after 100 000 stitches.

With that said it dosen't mean I hate it. I've had a lot of jobs and I prefer doing this even if laziness gets the better of me a lot. Im just a lot more passionate about the final result and what I can build with it rather than having this passion for every single stiches.

I think earning money from something you have fun is a luxury not everyone can have.
