I came to Nostr to see what the fuss was about. I have no other SM other than messaging apps, such as telegram (I must ditch those too). I quickly realised that #nostr totally fits into the privacy mindset. I control my digital ID. I get to say what I like and no one can stop me as I run my own relay. Two actually. #Nostr is the protocol that can free the internet, help free the money and bring peace to the world
Because I love competition. I think it makes everyone better and more honest. It is the antidote to rent seeking. With an open feed of data nostr encourages competition and makes us all better and more honest
This is what the internet was meant to be but instead it was capture (imo by dark forces) to create something grotesque that doesn’t pursue the enlightenment we were hoping for
