Ya, I just read a story where one of the biggest banks in Italy is now looking to adopt offering Bitcoin as an investment for wealthy clients. This from a country who tried to increase capital gains tax on Bitcoin to 42% a few months prior. What a joke!
What we need is Bitcoin friendly legislation not these old dogs trying to fit it into their existing rules.
As far as I know BTC is a fork of the original Bitcoin vision.
Removing segwit and taproot add on, plus removing BIPs that devs deemed unnecessary has changed the protocol.
You can't trust a changed protocol, but that's what it is. It's why Blackrock suggests they can increase the cap supply..

Agree or not doesn’t matter the point is it is an open monetary network. Anyone can join. Bitcoin still works p2p I can still send a tx directly to anyone in the world without anyone’s permission.
