What's the nostr:npub19tcpurtt6xulhw0r6sc404j9jraj0h8me2lzs7z2tqewz7l0hpas59nlea current thing? If you don't want your data doxxed, don't give it to them. It seems pretty simple to me. It's all opt-in. I have only ever used the channel backup feature. I don't want to publish any other information abouty node.

It should say they will sell that data on the page next to the enable button.
I agree. I've always assumed this was happening which is why I've never enabled those options. They're a business after all and you're giving them data. Businesses need to make money. Most know data is the new oil. But I guess not everyone realizes these things. More transparency is better.
What if your channel peers opt in? Doesn’t that also let them see YOUR stuff?
It would. I can't control what my peers do. It's the risk of doing business with the public and unknown node operators.
You are now part of the current thing!
If you don't want your data sold, don't give it to them!
Just looking at your peer list on thunderhub sends them all amboss.
Amboss is a chain analysis company for lightning.
Has been for a while. Several of us plebs know this and stay far away. They log your IP address. Check their Privacy Policy - that should alarm anyone using the services in bitcoin lightning ethos.
Agree on the choice thing but there's better ways to grab a channel.backup everytime it changes.
