Iris CPU usage is not high, but something often blocks rendering (UI stuck). Will zap 100,000 sats for finding out what causes it and another 100,000 for fixing. I need a break 😄

Woooow! What a stunning photo 🤯😍😍😍

Ok, CPU usage is also high at times

You deserve a break.

Merged

I can dig deeper later today, but at first glance here, it looks like the "handleFollow()" method is the heavy hitter when I load the following feed

Damn, Firefox debug tools look great

Decentralized debugging ftw! 💜

Have a good rest☕️

前两天还在疑惑 iris 为什么卡的不行,还以为没人维护了,原因在这里。

This photo is beautiful.

Is there anything in particular I should do to reproduce this? Is it when scrolling? DMing? Any insights you have could help get the ball rolling

It happens shortly after page open and occasionally thereafter. It's easiest to notice while scrolling down the feed.

not sure if this helps, but I see this message in my browser when Iris hangs today

🤣

Try to set iris update interval to 10 sec

you need to migrate to functional components, ASAP, trust me.

Check out https://beta.iris.to . Featuring better content loading and option to turn off replies & reactions, images etc.

There's just some UI freezing that someone needs to fix before moving to production. Seems to not happen when you turn off "Ask events from relays" from https://beta.iris.to/settings/dev

😍

We resolved it with #[3] 🔥

Working out some remaining issues at https://beta.iris.to and hopefully publishing new release this week. Then back to business.

#[2] Any plans to remove the heart/like button from Iris, sir?

Could make it an option that you can turn off in settings.

Sounds great - also, a feature to have Lists (public and also private) would be welcome.

About the financial side and sustainability of iris.to development, would be great to have some funding monthly page using notes or some other idea. This would allow us to see how the project is running out of money and we can all collectively zap and meet the monthly targets. Perhaps some inspiration from crowdfunding examples would help

Such framework would later also be used by other Nostr projects

⚡🔥💪☀️
