As long as we have an option to use self-hosted wallets and it makes #zapping easier/faster, I think it's a great idea.

I think "Currents" has this already? Tried it, but didn't like the way it implemented (didn't like that I was forced to create a new wallet). I'm quite happy with Zeus/Alby solution I'm using now.
I don't mind that so much, but the rest of that app is lacking a bit.
They are custodial, lastnight (bali time) and i have no idea when they just freezing all of my sats stacks. I felt really bad thought it was secure enough bc βopen-sourceβ projects but im dumb enough to mean this.
Self-custodial wallets could be integrated fairly quickly utilizing Breez SDK

Added a 250k bounty with the criteria that the LN wallet must by fully self-custodial. Will not be putting any money towards custodial solutions.

Added 250k with the same requirement, let's do this right from day one π
Thanks for the drive towards that, #[3]!

How do we add to the bounty? Do we just pledge for now?
The wallet in a seperate app, I think works well.
Did someone say Breez SDK?

I want thanks
I'm pressed for time at the moment or I'd be on this one π
I'm not convinced yet.
This seems like a step in the opposite direction of microapps... π€

Last month I speculated (or warned) that nostr clients will someday integrate custodial lightning wallets to smooth out the UX for non-bitcoiners. I guess this is happening sooner than later.
