Professional scammers exist because it's profitable. This is not a random joe fishing for bitcoins. This is organized crime.

The user is naive. That's all.
Also, it's better to have SimpleX for support, where users can't send messages to each other.
Or just a separate SimpleX account for support.
Stop blaming the victim
Why?
That's what organize crime wants. Then nobody ever does anything against them.
It's the guy's own fault for not knowing how to use Telegram. That's why the scammers made money off him.
And if we analyze it more deeply, because of this person, the scammers were once again convinced that their business is profitable, and they will continue to operate. And all because this guy couldn't protect himself.
💯 A few years ago I met a guy who had previously been a gang/drug detective in Miami. He said he had to eventually switch to investigating fraud and identity theft because more and more gangs were switching to that instead of violent crimes. More profitable and lower legal penalties than violent crimes. Crime does pay, unfortunately.
What should be done about organized crime?
Organized justice?
Delete telegram, anyone who dms you in telegram is a scammer 100% of the time. Telegram is trash.
State sponsored. We see a LOT phishing coming out of North Korea.
