Yep. I've been saying all along (because I feel it with myself), that all this cheap AI stuff will make at least some people appreciate things made with human effort, time and skill. As such, human made things will retain or even increase in value.
Agreed. "Human made" will be the new "hand made".
Yes. I use it for cool wallpapers occasionally, but that's basically a novelty.
All of the AI shit from my perspective is little more than hype novelty. I'm sure it'll get better over time, but tech VCs tend to massively over promise. It's pretty much a law of nature

Yes. Very. And I'm tired of uttering "that's AI" to people showing me things, that to me, are obviously AI generated stuff.
It's the same energy as someone showing you what they can do in a video game.
It's kinda nonsense. It irritates me everytime I see it referred to as "art", so I appreciate your notation. It's one of these things that was cool the first day, but now it's been way overdone. People gotta chill.

It is art. It's beautiful and requires creativity and whoever is making them is skilled.
I like them but it's only annoying when profiles constantly post only AI images and videos and that's all they post.
Generating imagery is not the same as making art. The existence of an image via a prompt is not in itself evidence of art.
Art is more than mere image and the rendering of something in a particular style. Art making is deeply anthropological.
Yes, I think it will open up the want for 'human' art even more. The shiny object will lose some of its luster.
However, it can and will open some avenues of creativity that were closed to some people.

But theres a difference between good and bad. Some AI generated visuals are well made and it's clear that someone put some work in prompting and editing. But I also agree that there's too much garbage out there already.

It has its uses, but I can't lie that it's draining to see it everywhere. Especially when those publicly using it are doing so for stupid crap that isn't that hard without the generators.
