So much zapping. It feels good. Why aren't more charities on here?

Nostr will disrupt Geyser. Lol

Adoption curve my friend…adoption curve.

Most charities are stuck “local” in their thoughts and actions.

There are very few (probably less than 100-ish maybe less than 25) that do a good job with story telling to the masses (aka social media).

If they aren’t doing it well on services that require little effort to get going (ie centralized social media)…they are going to struggle that much more when it comes to decentralized services because it’s outside the way most of them are wired (programmed) to think!

Also remember, most non-profits are laggards…they are 10-15 years behind the adoption curve. (Some are only 5 years behind…we call those bleeding edge innovators of the NPO world 🤣)

I appreciate the thoughtful response. I’m on the board of a charity here and am working to get them to accept bitcoin payments.

Yea the church I attend is building a new campus in a new part of town and they accept crypto as an option for donation.

Problem is, I can also guarantee you it will be immediately converted to fiat or a stable coin because they don’t want the “risk” (volatility really)

Which to our convo about accepting crypto or even adopting a decentralized social platform…many leaders of non-profits are risk (volatility) adverse in their #leadership

So adopting innovation no matter what domain it resides in, is about as low of the list of things to do as it can be
